Parents, grandparents, and community members are welcome and encouraged to lend their time and talents as volunteers at Ray School. We can use help in many areas!
If you would like to become a volunteer, please visit http://cpsparentu.org to complete a volunteer application - it's easy and takes just a few minutes to complete. Then reach out to the PTO at email@example.com and tell us how you'd like to help! Thank you!
This year's Ray Walk-A-Thon will take place May 18th! If you'd like to join this year's committee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We're looking for parent volunteers to help with recess. We could especially use help with 1st grade from 10:45-11:00 am, Kindergarten from 11:00-11:25 am, and 3rd/6th grades from noon-12:30 pm. On rainy days, we need parents to staff a games room and a quiet reading room, ideally.
Please send Ms. Neely an email (email@example.com) if you're able to help out. Thank you!
Drop and Go
The LSC safety committee is seeking volunteers for the Drop and Go. Between 8:20 and 8:50 am we help to get students into the Ray School safely and on time. This is a difficult time for working parents but if one person from your family can help out we can increase the on time rate for the school. For more information or to sign-up to volunteer, please contact David at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Afternoon Traffic Control Volunteers
Do you or could you regularly arrive to pick up your student 20-30 minutes before the 3:45 pm bell? If so, we could use your help managing afternoon traffic. Kimbark Avenue between 56th and 57th streets are closed to all vehicles with the exception of school buses, student transport vans, and Pre-K parent cars every afternoon between 3:15-3:45 pm. We need volunteers to manage the sawhorse on Kimbark Avenue and 56th Street, and open it only for authorized vehicles.
If you are interested, please contact Principal Megan Thole at email@example.com.
