Kindergarten Readers
Help me give my students kindergarten level books to practice reading independently.
Ms. Ip (Kindergarten)
They are very cheerful, at times mischievous, but many times happy to be at school to learn new things. This year, we have 23 students. They are currently mastering their skills in reading through letters and sounds, sight words, and pictures. They are moving towards learning how to read CVC words and knowing how to use these new skills in their independent reading. Read more>

Making The Grade
Help me give my students a quality experience by providing our classroom with a new laptop.
Ms. Sheridan (1st grade)
In this first grade class, the students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We have an ethnically and economically diverse group. Students have a range of abilities and work well together, supporting one another's efforts. There are a few English language learners, a few students with special needs, and several gifted students.We are a community of writers who write together and individually every day! Some of us write well above grade level, some are on level and some write below grade level expectations, but we all write every day. Read more>

MindSpark professional development opportunities seek to provide teachers with workshops that embrace creative problem solving through innovative lesson design. In a three day workshop titled “Equity-Centered Design Thinking and Innovative Mindsets" I will learn how to guard against teacher bias and create more equitable learning activities and environments for my students.
